Cementless Fixation Hip Prosthesis LATITUDE, MANUFACTURED BY MERIL

The acetabular system Latitude is a modular replacement system for the hip socket, consisting of a metal cup with a titanium coating and a polyethylene insert.

The cup's design geometry allows for "press-fit" implantation, promoting strong fixation and high stability.

UNCEMENTED HIP PROSTHESIS STEM - LATITUDE, MANUFACTURED BY MERIL

The philosophy of the design of the uncemented stem of the Latitude™ total hip arthroplasty system is based on time-tested and globally practiced design principles. The uncemented stem is manufactured at two different angles to accommodate the anatomical characteristics of the patient and is developed in two versions: standard and increased offset. The surface of the uncemented femoral stem is coated with hydroxyapatite using the plasma spray method to promote osseointegration and enable cementless use.

The trapezoidal design with a double taper, featuring vertical and horizontal grooves, ensures stability and resistance to rotational and axial displacement. The low modulus of elasticity of titanium reduces mismatch with cortical bone and minimizes thigh pain.
